Man oh man! Life is good. Life is GREAT! HAHAHAHA!

Ok, sorry, just super happy right now. so, a lot has been going very well for me lately. I'm enjoying classes that I never thought I would. I've been getting Hollywood internship offers. I've been acing quizzes. My creative writing teacher suggested I should enter a $1,000 prize creative writing short story contest. And, oh, yeah. SOMEONE WANTS TO PAY ME TO DRESS UP IN MY AWESOME COSTUMES!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, a little recap here. Last night, I was thinkin' "Man. It would be fun to go to the midnight show of the 3D Star Wars Phantom Menace dressed as Darth Nihilus." Little did I know the show was THAT night. So, I sent out a mass message to my friends, seeing if anyone wanted to go (because I sure as heck wouldn't have gone by myself), and luckily for me, James was willing, despite the fact that he didn't have any Star Wars related costumes (it was ok though, he pulled off a decent random Sith).

Anywho, the night was magical. I LIVE for those nights. Seriously, it was like Halloween came early. People were freakin' out. Singing praises, begging for pictures, even begging to "high five a Sith Lord." (Ha!) When I went into the theater itself, we got a freakin standing ovation. Hahaha!

But before all that, we ran into a Jedi and a smuggler. (Best part of the night). The smuggler guy asked if I was part of the 501st. (They can suck it!) I said they didn'ty want me. We got to talkin', he said I was more impressive than anything they could offer anyways, and then mentioned something about wanting me in a flash mob. To which I replied "Say what?!"

Turns out this smuggler guy runs a company that puts on events (like this flash mob) and goes to movie releases and what have you, dressed like awesome characters. And he wants ME to be a part of that! (Cue dying and going to heaven here)

So, yeah, holy freakin' crap! Can you say dream come true?! All my hard work, and all that MONEY that I've put into these things is finally starting to pay off! (Ironically, I got a fortune cookie today saying pretty much that.) I'm on cloud nine right now, really, I've been smiling for hours.

Of course, it may not be as glamorous or as exciting as I'm imagining it. Heck it might not even pan out at all. But I'm gonna stay optomistic. If anything, it sounds like a LOT of fun. So, yeah, wow. Joy overload in this post. Sorry bout that. :)

So, thanks to my absolute boredom last week, I ran across a show on Syfy that rather intrigued me. I found it on netflix and started watching from the start... And could not stop! I watched 4 seasons worth of episodes in one week. Yeah, it was that amazing. And now, I want more! But there won't be any more until October. So... Not only do I have Halloween and a wicked cool costume to look forward to, but I also have this show's 5th season. It's going to be a LONG 9 months... Guess I'll just have to start working on these books, I might be able to finish one by that time. Hmm...

I finally brought myself to rewrite the 30 some odd pages of one of my stories that was lost when my laptop was destroyed by a virus. I hope that I retained the same magic as the original version. My memory ain't so good, but I think I got most of it. It's just such a shame, because when I originally wrote that, I scared myself. Seriously, it was the best creepy stuff I've ever written. It was brilliant. But, I think what I've got now is close. Whoever it was that caused all my work to be lost, I truly hope something horrible happens. I hope that person suffers. Yes, I am bitter. But now, I can finally move on. I can finally finish this story that has been 3 years in the making. Yay.

Life's Been Good

All in all, with all the crap that's gone down recently, life is treatin' me pretty well lately. Not perfect, far from it, but it's been good.

One thing that's been awesome was that I was able to have my dear friend from Canada visit me. He and a few of his friends came down for conference (and mission reunions). He graciously invited me to the Staurday afternoon session, which was awesome, they had great seats. It always makes me happy to spend time with the ones I love, it is even sweeter when I can spend time with someone I haven't seen in a long time. Sadly, he is now on his way back home, but it was fun while it lasted.

My mission reunion was pretty cool too. President Godfrey never ceases to amaze me, I always learn something about myself when I speak with him, even if it's for just a few minutes. It's times like these that make me very nostalgic for the mission.

But, alas, tomorrow is a new day, and it's time to get back to the real world, what with school and all that crap. Sigh... Ah well. Life's still good.

So, yeah, I've been introduced to this wonderful program and was given a professional voice recorder for free (for the semester) so guess what I've been doing? HAVING FUN! It's exhilarating to not only record my own stuff, but to also edit it and have some fun with it... Now if only I could add music and other effects... OOH! I could make my own demo tape that didn't sound terrible and wasn't poorly edited! ....... I'm such a voice nerd... Is there such a thing? Hmm...

Hello Inspiration... It's Been A While

So, as I previously mentioned, I am working on a new Knightfall book. This was something I never really planned, but it was demanded of me by some of my more avid fans/friends.

In the past I have tried to write this, but it just wasn't working. I couldn't come up with a good story, I couldn't figure out how to write it. The biggest problem and greatest strength of my writing is that i can only write when the mood strikes. When inspiration hits me hit like a brick wall. I'll admit, that hasn't happened in a long time. And so, as I tried to write this, and other stories, they just came out as utter crap.

But fear not! Inspiration has struck! I have not felt like this in such a long time. I have no idea what I am even writing half the time. The story just tells itself, I'm merely there to put it on paper.It's a thing of beauty. The only problem is, I am having a hard time concentrating on other things, such as school, because new ideas are constantly popping into my head! This one is going to be my greatest yet. I can feel it. It's only 31 pages right now, but it is 31 pages of the most awesome crap I've ever seen! So, yeah, look out, because I'M BACK, BABY!!!!!!

He is also one of my biggest inspirations, and so, as I prepare this week to do my first voice over demo tape, I have been listening (nonstop) to the Haunted Mansion soundtrack. It's getting me pumped... not only for voice over work, but also for freakin' Halloween! Man, I just can't wait! Not to mention I've got a TON of ideas for next year already... I may have to start doing multiple costumes a year, it may be the only way to satiate this sick obsession...

The Antics At The Logan Art House & Cinema: A Review: Yes Again. What? You Got A Problem With Me Going To Logan Twice In A Row? Tough!

Yep, I went to Logan again, it was by far worth it. I was the first recipient of the Antics' new T-shirts, which are awesome. Not to mention the show was amazing, so, despite this comedy hangover that I seem to have, a review I shall write. The performers were Greg, Sheldon, Matt, Liz, and Rachel, with Lorin as the MC. All performed hilariously. It would be hard to choose a favorite performance of the night, because they were all so great. Pieces of paper was awesome, just because it showed how little the Antics knew about the Hebrew faith. Stuntdouble was great, because they started out way too big, and then just kept getting bigger, plus there was a massive Plants Vs. Zombies reference that I'm sure the audience loved. Will Smith Rap had me rolling on the floor, not because it was good, but because it was so bad. Off beat, not rhyming half the time, but I give 'em props for trying. The one exception was Matt, he did an amazing job, so kudos, and kudos again. At the end of the show, they did one little, two little, and it was by far the best one I've ever seen, each segment flowed perfectly. And it was just so funny. So good job Antics, on another great performance. And for you faithful readers (all two of you!), be sure to go out and see the show sometime (and buy a shirt, they're awesome, plus it'll get you a buck off everytime you wear it!).

The Antics At The Logan Art House And Cinema: A Review: Been A While

So, last night my friends and I were bored, so what was the logical solution? Drive up to Logan and see the antics. First of all, props to the awesome sound guy last night! ;) Danie, Lorin, Sheldon, Matt, and Brian performed while Jess was the emcee. Awesome performances from all as usual. Even when they weren't actually doing any games. I'm gonna have to keep this short mainly because my memory is failing me. But I will say, bad advice was my favorite of the night. Matt, Lorin, and Sheldon all decided to do foreign accents... Hilarious. Matt and Lorin were Aussie (I think, maybe english?) and Sheldon, well, I have no idea, I think he was going for Hispanic, but there was also some Indian and Jamaican thrown in there. Great stuff. Pieces of paper and late for work (is that was it's called?) were also great. So many weird hand gestures. Ha ha! I will say slogans was a bit painful. Some jokes went straight over the heads of the audience. But that's what you get when you have intelligent improv guys. Speaking of the audience, not nearly enough people showed up. Come on people, support these guys, their hilarious. Well, that's it from me, until next time.

So, I'm in a journalism class this semester, and have been exceling in it, which is odd because I have no interest in it, really. But as a final project, we (the class) has been split into two groups to make a competeing newspaper for the Chronicle. The group voted me to be editor. As editor I had the choice to write whatever story I wanted. I chose to write on the new EAE department at the U (they make videogames, literally).

So, I set up an interview with the professor in charge of it all, hoping to get maybe 10-15 minutes of his time... We spoke for a half hour, he invited me to a tour of the studio, got me six more interviews (with more to come tomorrow). It's been amazing, I couldn't ask for a better opportunity to write a story. I've got TOO MUCH info, if you can believe that. I've hit the journalistic GOLD MINE!

Oh, and here's the best part. The lead guy wants a copy of my article when it's done so he can post it on the official website. I'm getting published! HAHAHA!

It's a shame I'm not more interested in this journalism shtick, because I am dang good at it, apparently. Anywho, today's been very long, but very awesome, and I just wanted to blog about it.

It's February and I've got about 90% of my costume ready... already. And it is good. Can't wait for Halloween!

In the mean time, something else has intruded my mind... Dang it. I may just have to do it. I did it once, why not twice? Well, there's school, but I can work around that, right? It just has to be meticulously planned exactly right... I dunno, maybe, we'll have to see. School and money, those are the big factors... and of course, if it's cool with him too, that also plays a major part in all of this. Hmm. So much to do, so little time.

But hey, at least I know Oct. 31st is a given, no chance of that not happening, and y'all should be excited, because this one is not only epic like my last ones, but THIS one is actually recognizable by a mass audience, not something I do very often, but this is amazing enough that I am willing to make an exception.

The Antics at the Logan Art House and Cinema: A Review: The Start of A New Year

Hey, what better way to start off the year than making the trek to Logan and watching The Antics?

Sorry for the late review, if you've got a problem with it, I don't care.

The show starred Danie, Matt, Chris, Sheldon, and Rachel. All performed splendidly. I was surprised at the beginning, they did not start with Rant, rather, it was Love Rant. Which was funny.
Admittedly though, the first half was a little rough. Sorry guys, had to be said. But after intermission, the players caught on fire. I couldn't stop laughing. Whether if it was due to being forced to listen to horible puns or seeing what goes on at Camp PDA... *shudder*.

A new (to me) Antics Original was played, called Camp Laramie, which was created by Matt Allred. I really liked it. It was a fun and new idea and I thought it was great. Kudos! And kudos again!

As I said before, all who performed were great, but I've gotta say, Chris was amazing tonight, he was in rare form and the audience loved him. Good job. I've also gotta give a shout out to Matt for putting the mental image of Dwight Shrewt shooting a baby in my head. Oh and I also loved Sheldon's Ringadingy Dumbjar. His insanity has gone international... I LOVE IT!

So yeah, great show. If you missed it, I feel bad for you. Go see The Antics.

End Of The Year...

Ah, another year gone. And honestly, it's been a pretty great year, all things considered. I finally accomplished a three year goal of making the trek to Canada to visit a dear friend. I out did myself on Halloween by dressing as Darth Nihilus, and blowing everyone away! I started school back up, and FINALLY declared my major. I discovered my passion for voice acting, and I even started taking lessons. True, there have been some very low points, but I'm trying to not focus on that, there has been too much good that has happened this year. As bad as my memory can be, I'll never forget the high points of this year. And here's to another great year! I'm hoping that it will be great, but with my school schedule the way it's looking for the next year, it ain't gonna be pretty. Oh well. Happy New Year, everyone!

Well, I just had an epiphany of sorts, concerning what? What else? I'll give you a hint, "October". And it came to me, this next year, is the finale, go big or go home. It's gotta be my biggest ever! And man, have I got some ideas! It's just gonna take a LOT of cash, and I mean a lot... Man I whish I had a job... Just a temp would be wonderful! A couple VO gigs would be enough even! But I just don't see it in the cards what with my disabilities and school... ARGH, I wouldn't be so fretful about this so early, but time is unfortunately a huge factor... The window of opportunity is already closing. It'll definitely be my largest undertaking ever, thats for dang sure. I hope I can pull it off...

Hey, it's one of those rare times where I blog about a movie! And you know that if I am blogging about a movie, then you know it's gotta be amazing. Well, guess what? TRON Legacy is FREAKIN' AMAZING! AAAAAHHHHH! I saw the midnight showing, and man, it was so great (save for the morons in the theater who wouldn't shut up! Honestly!).

I liked the original, but it's one of those movies that are so bad it's good. You know, like UHF or something like that. But this, was amazing in every possible way in the best sense possible. The story was great, it was intense and tugged at your heart, and if you're slow like me, you'll be shocked at the end (I was too engrossed in the movie to look for surprises). The special effects are absolutely amazing! And the music, oh the music! It is the musical equivilent to being high. It is simply euphoric!

So, in case you haven't caught on by now, GO SEE THIS MOVIE! Right now! Stop what you're doing and go to the theater right now and see this movie! Or not, you know, it's your choice really... Plus I'm probably hyping it up too much anyways... Hmm... Well, it is a great movie, and I loved it.

So, after multiple misdiagnoses, doctors have decided that my wrist doesn't need surgery, instead they gave me a shot of steroids (OUCH!) and strapped on a wrist splint, which I am required to wear for the next 6 weeks... Woot. Complete immobilization for 6 weeks. Yeah, my money is on that this won't work either.

So, yeah, like I said, just finished this Star Wars novel. It's heavily entrenched in the Star Wars universe. I did extensive studying on this to make it as accurate and "canon" as possible. This of course means, I'm the only one who knows what the crap half of the book even means. Well, I rectified this in the best manner I could think of, I put together a small encyclopedia, cataloging everything in my book. It took HOURS, but it's finished. So, those few who are interested, worry not about not knowing much about the Star Wars universe. Hmm, what horrible grammar is in this post... I've been working for too long... brain not functioning well.

(Seriously, you should have seen me write it, it was like I was possessed or something, it was awesome.) And here's the best part. Apparently, this doozy is gonna be in parts! yeah, I know! Crazy! Don't worry, it's not gonna be that long (I'm no Fyodor Dostoevsky), it's just doing it in parts makes more sense. Yeah, you like them test results?! SO DO I! HAHAHAHA! You know what this amazing little A means? I am DONE with economics! WOOT! Frabjous day! Kaloo Kalay! So, in celebration of this liberating event, I took up the pen once more (figuratively, no one writes books with pen anymore, I guess they could, but I can't thanks to arthritis... Tangent! Anyways...). So, yeah, I started writing again. It's not the other project that I have been rewriting constantly, I'm still on hiatus with that. Kind of sick of rewrites. This time, it's my Star Wars novel. Haven't worked on it in a while, no particular reason, I mean, the story is there in my head, I know what I want to write (for the most part, the other stuff just writes itself, quite the phenomenon when I'm on a roll... Phenomenon, that word always reminds me of the Muppets "Manamana" gig... Tangent again!), so yeah, it's gonna be great, as long as I can keep within the universe cannon, and believe me it's a big universe (I know, I have the Atlas). So, yeah, it's a daunting task, and this book is much darker than my others, which is saying something, but dang it, this one will be finished one way or another!

So, there's this game that came out ealier this year, called Transformers: War For Cybertron. And man I've gotta say. I rock at this game. Normally I wouldn't care if I was good at a game (big deal, right?), but this is different. There is an online mode and I completely DOMINATE on it. It is almost inhuman, supernatural even how good I am. People run when they see me. My name is feared. I am the best of the best. And today, I discovered just how true this statement is. I went to a GameFAQs forum, and someone posted a topic based on me and how to beat me. This guy hated me so much, he actually went online seeking help just on how to beat me! AHHH HAHAHAHAHA! It's hilarious, taking out those dregs of society on an online game is such a great feeling. And being the best ain't half bad either. I am Knightfall... Fear me!

Whew. Life just don't want to let up lately, y'know? It's kind of getting irritating, so, I'm gonna blog about it! Yay for you the unfortunate reader! Aren't you excited?!

Um... Sorry... Had a Binky the Clown moment there... Those happen from time to time... Anywho, on to the ranting!

Oh where to begin? Let's see... Oh I know. When I headed home from my last Halloween party, I noticed I had a sore throat. Guess what?! It knocked me out for the count for an entire week! Stupid immune system. On a plus note, Last week, I napped more than I had in the past 2 years! It was awesome. And man oh man, if you really know me, then you know I nap hardcore! I'm talkin' anywhere from 4-6 hours per nap, baby! And still being able to go to sleep at 9 or 10 at night. Oh yeah! So that was the plus side to that I guess, the down side was I was sick and miserable. Rule of thumb for diabetics, any illness is 10 times worse for them than for all you who are lucky enough to have working pancreases. Still a little exhausted and tired, but I'm finally on the mend, to quote Dr. Zoidberg, "Hooray!"

Oh! Speaking of immune systems, guess what funness I finally got figured out? Apparently, Diabetics get these abscesses in very unpleasant areas. They're like really bad zits, or that's what they look like, except eventually, they burst open and gush blood, gross huh? Well a couple weeks ago, I woke up and went to put in my contacts when I looked in the mirror, and found my shirt absolutely drenched in blood. Don't you hate when that happens? So, went to the doc, and now he tells me they need to be excised by a surgeon. Yay... I get to be cut open, in about 5 or 6 different places. So, that'll be happening soon. Not looking forward to it.

And along the same lines, my wrist has been giving me no end of trouble lately and it turns out I need to get an MRI done and see if I need surgery on that. And here's the best part, since the wrist is such a complicated little dickens, if I have surgery, I'll be out of commission for at LEAST 2 months. So THERE'S something to look forward to!

And that's not all in the medical department, far from it. But I'm not gonna talk about that, because frankly, it's none of your business!

Lessee, what else do I want to rant about. Oh! I know, some jerk keeps calling my home phone asking for me, finally I googled the number, turns out to be some phishing scam. It also appears to be related to the mysterious magazines that have been getting mailed to me. I don't know what's going on or how they got my info, but they won't leave me alone. It's bugging me quite a lot and I don't need it happening right now! ARGH!

Okay, what else. Ah! I had my big Econ test today, finally! Of which I was studying for while completely wasted from the illness. If I passed it, that means I'm done for the semester! If I failed, I'm stuck there until the final... NOOOOOOOOOOOO! I feel like I did good, but what does that mean? I was freakin' rockin' that test man! I hope I did as good as I thought I did.

Hoo boy, it's 4 AM. It's late, and I am freakin' exhausted, so let's get right to it. Tonight was The Antics Halloween show, and it was great. The performers were Lorin (as Waldo), Sheldon (as Casey Jones), Lee (as one of the Aquabats {Sorry, I forgot the actual name}), Matt (as John Achefield {A Facebook character he made up}), Jess (as a moth), Claire (as Driselda {?} the devil), and Dannie (as Finn from Adventure Time).

The show was great, The Antics certainly put their best foot forward tonight. The laughs started off right from the get go, with games like scene with a soundtrack (Which had the most awkward "romance" scene between Matt, Lorin, and Sheldon I had ever seen), and film noir. One of the highlights of the night was stunt double. It was certainly the crowd favorite, kudos to all who performed (which was everyone). Oh, and a special note to Sheldon, I absolutely loved your performance of Will Smith Rap! You ALMOST had a good rhyme there! Keep trying! ;) And finally, it wouldn't be a Matt Jensen review, if I didn't mention the genius bad advice sketch. This time, it was at the end of the show, included everyone from the show, and the performers gave advice in the form of their characters. All were amazing, but I especially enjoyed Jess as a moth. simple, yet hilarious.

The show also featured a prize drawing (I won a $10 iTunes gift card and candy, so that was pretty awesome). And there was a costume contest as well, and I gotta say, I'm insulted that I wasn't even a contestant, but considering the fickle audience that were the judges, I would never have had a chance against the cheap piece of crap that won. Anywho, enough ranting, the people that mattered liked my costume, so that's all I care about.

So, yeah, it was a great show, and I'm glad I was able to go out on such a high note. Unfortunately, due to some surgery in my future, I'm gonna be out of commission for a long time, and I won't be able to go up to Logan for a while, most likely not for the rest of this year. So, to all my friends, The Antics, thanks for the memories. It's been a blast. And hopefully, I will return someday. For now, though, I bid you adieu.

Guess what?! I'm NOT failing economics! HAHAHAHAHAHA! That 56 out of 100 that I got on my test, which I thought had ruined me forever, was actually... wait for it... A FREAKIN' B-!!!!!! AHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH! That F turned into a B- so quickly it was all I could do just to not jump up and shout for joy! WOOOOOOOOT! I know I already made a post about this on Facebook, but I'm gonna write a quick blog about it too. Don't like it? Tough! It's my blog and I can do whatever I want. Anywho, I went to the University of Utah's "Black Pumpkin Affair" last night, and oh man! It was a blast! Activities wise, it sucked rocks, but just getting so many great reactions from the people there freakin' rocked.

Mainly me and James just walked around the Union building, strutting our stuff, as they say. When people saw me, they freaked in every way possible. Some were terrified (MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!), some recognized my costume by name and geeked out over it, a couple of kids yelled out my name and wanted to fight me with their toy lightsabers, except they weren't in any type of costume, so I really didn't care to play their little game. Quite a few frat boys had some very choice words to say, the likes of which I cannot repeat here, but it was in the supposedly good sense (my favorite is when I went into the restroom, bumping into someone coming out at the same time, upon seeing me he shouted "D***!" Made me laugh quite a bit. As we walked down the hallways, people kept running up to me patting me on the back and poking me, telling me my costume was awesome. One guy even bopped me with a balloon insisting that my weapon was "the s***". And the pictures, oh the pictures! Everyone wanted to get their picture taken with us, especially the foriegn Asian chicks (Special note to Phil: WOOOAAAHHHH!) ;). But by far, the best response of the night had to be right before I left, when some guy (who was apparently wearing a top hat) came running up to me and said, "Can I give you a hug? Is that okay? Can I hug you?".......... BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh man, if a complete stranger begging you to give him a hug due to the epicness of your costume isn't the best compliment in the world I don't know what is! HAHAHAHA! I loved it! It was so awesome. To get such praise and adoration from the dregs of society. This costume is a bigger success than I ever expected it to be. I can't wait to reveal it to my friends on the actual Halloween party. If you're reading this, and you're attending the Halloween party of which I am speaking, be excited. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Okay, I've started work on it again, luckily, so far I have been able to salvage a lot of what I've already written. I fear though, that this project may be put on hold, because I feel an impending Star Wars "Geekout" just waiting to happen (This is what I call certain times in my life where I can think of nothing but Star Wars, I don't know why they happen, they just do, luckily they are only temporary [Yes I know I am a total SW nerd, I admit that freely]). What with my costume and the new game coming out. It might just overwhelm me to the point where I will want to start working on my SW novel again. Oh why must I be cursed with this creative yet lazy mind? Ah, the life of a mad genius is not an easy one.

I hate myself right now, I really do. As the faithful readers are aware (All one of you), I have been working on a new project, something that I have attempted in the past and failed miserably, this is the 9th rewrite, and is so far away from the original idea that it can't even be considered the same book, but it's been going great. And I really do think I can finish it this time, but as I am writing this (55 pages in), I come to a horrible realization, this book would be so much better if I made one major tweak. That tweak however would eliminate one major character, therefore, forcing me to start from scratch right at the beginning, and I don't know if I want to do that. Do I write a good story? Or do I start over, eliminate all 55 pages already written, and make an AMAZING story? ARGH! Why does my mind always come up with better ideas AFTER I'm already well into a project? This sucks.

Well, it's well past midnight, there's a blue fleur de lis (blue again, huh? Whatever.) on my hand, and, wait, this isn't my house! Where am I? Oh, that's right, I'm staying the night in Logan. Anywho... On to the review!

Tonight's performers were Greg, Sheldon, Claire, Liz, and, returning from his mission, Lee.

Uh, well, I'll keep this brief since I need to be in Idaho early in the morning. It was good. There were, in all honesty some small dull points, but the great parts made everyone easily forget them. Bad Advice was by far my favorite, mainly for Greg's illegal imigrant from Britain. Loved it.

Yeah, all in all, the show was good. I liked it, glad I saw it. You should see it too. I'd write more, but I'm tired, and like I said earlier, I've got an early morning ahead of me, so, goodnight!

Oh man, this is exciting. I've got 28 pages written and there is no end in sight! This one is standing where so many have fallen. I've finally found the right plot and the right characters. I can't believe it. This is something I've been trying to do since I was finished with Knightfall (Sorry Chris, it's not "Knightfall 3"). Every time I tried writing it though, I always wound up writing into one of two different stories, and both stunk big time. They went nowhere, and I couldn't do anything with them. Solution? I saw 5 minutes of Beverly Hills Cop, and inspiration struck. BIG TIME! I know, it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, but hey, whoever said my mind worked like a normal person's? So, yeah, I've finally gotten a way to write this book, and I'm psyched. Here's the worst problem now, though, I have too many ideas! I have several different scenarios for practically each chapter and I'm having a hard time deciding which route to go for each one, which is the best way to tell the story? Ah! It's so maddening. Glad to finally be writing it though, don't get me wrong. Although, I hardly have any time to write, thanks to butt loads of homework. But hey, I'm keeping busy, and the sooner I have this written, the sooner it will be out of my head and it won't bother me anymore. Then again, I could be prematurely celebrating, I could get hit with massive writer's block at any time, and then I'm screwed once more. Ha ha ha!

Well, it's 2:30 AM, I'm ehausted, my truck is almost completely out of fuel, and I've got a blue fluer de lis on my hand (wait, blue?! whatever). That can only mean one thing, that's right! I went to yet another Antics show! Hooray! I guess...

In all honesty, the show was absolutely hilarious. I loved every single part of it, there wasn't a single game that wasn't full of side-spliting greatness. The performers tonight were Greg, Dannie, Lorin, Sheldon, and newcomer Chris. The emcee tonight was Matt.

As I said, everything was beyond superb, but I've gotta give a few special shout outs. Bad Advice had to be my all time favorite, by far! I say this because the world was finally introduced to Hardee the Porcupine! Sadly, the world wasn't ready for him, but that didn't stop it from being the greatest thing ever! I've also gotta say, Lorin's Eduargo was awesome, it really was "10 pages of love!" Scene with a soundtrack was also great, as was the game with Sheldon, Chris, and Matt (I forget the name, but I will never be able to forget what I saw).

I truly wish I could remember all two hours of the performance, in order to give a better review, but I cannot, not at this late hour at any rate. Rest assured though, the night was superb! Kudos to all whom performed, and kudos again!

So, yeah, I've got a couple projects running wild in my mind right now... I never intended for Knightfall to have any sequels or prequels, but here I am, ready to write another book! Argh! And I never even got past chapter one of my Star Wars book that I was working on (Still got ideas and still want to write it, just gotten sidetracked). And then school is in the picture, mix that in with a social life, and a possible job on the horizon, I have no time to write! Ah! It's so frustrating.

It's Three AM. I've been through two different types of shock, simultaneously. And Just got home from Logan... Needless to say, I'm exhausted. Not to mention my memory is incredibly hazy right now. But, there is a red fleur de lis stamped on my right hand, so that must mean only one thing... I went to an Antics show! So time for the review.

If memory serves me right, tonight's performers were Danni, Sheldon, Claire, Lorin, and special guests Aaron & Heather. The show tonight was important because it was the deciding show, whether they would be able to stay at the venue or not... There were 213 people there tonight. I think they're in a good place, but what do I know?

Anyways, on to the show. As usual, the show started out with rant, which was good. And it just got better from there. It was interesting to see Sheldon in a Bad Advice skit without acting criminally insane. However, I don't even want to think about how it was possible to get instantaneously pregnant by watching Barney. Sadly, I missed the Will Smith Rap, but it sounded like people liked it, judging by the erruption of cheers from the audience... Cheers, that was a funny show. I'm not sure what was my favorite skit of the night, but it was all funny.

So, yeah, it looks like The Antics are safe for now, and they won't be begging and pleading for people to come to their shows, but I would suggest that you still attend when possible. It's always a good time and I doubt you will regret it. Kudos Antics, on a job well done.

I must admit, I am surprised by how saddened I am by leaving Canada... It's become a part of me now I guess... I'll just have to go back sometime... Perhaps next year... I dunno.

Woke up this morning, packed up my stuff and got it in the truck. Bryan made me breakfast, again, he never stops giving. And we chatted for a bit. As I was about to leave, Bryan gave me some cookies and some last minute "Fatherly Advice" and we said our goodbyes.

And then I drove... For nine hours. I might add, I HATE MONTANA! Not only for the reasons I previously mentioned, but also due to the fact that there was a terrible windstorm through the entire state! Ugh. Horrible driving conditions, thought for sure that I was going to have a second rollover. "Rollover II!: The Return of Crash Jensen". Luckily "the rollover kid" did not make a second appearance. (FYI those are the two nicknames my dad and my uncle [insurance agent] gave me after my accident.)

Anywho, now I'm in Idaho Falls, staying at a nice hotel, but really, I would have preferred to keep driving, and just be home tonight. But whatever. I'm in Idaho, "Where the men are men... And so are the women!"

Like I said, I'm feeling a little sad about leaving, but I certainly hope that one day I will be able to visit my friend again. Because he is more than just a friend, he is a brother. And like he said, "It's never 'goodbye', it's just 'see ya later'."

Canada: Day Final...

Today was amazingly awesome. friend woke me up at 8:30 in the morning, made me some egg sandwich thing for breakfast, and the we were off to Waterton! With a few friends.

It was a cool place, it had MOUNTAINS! Beautiful, beautiful mountains. First off we went to the (supposedly haunted) Prince of Wales Hotel. We had lunch at a quaint little restaurant that had 3 Utah license plates (one of them had my initials, MMJ. Ha!). I made some frysauce and one of the girls that went with us thought I was completely insane. Ha ha! We had ice cream after that. Good stuff. After that we went to the beach. Well, rock beach. But it was a beautiful sight... I think I had it as my desktop picture once, or maybe I had seen it on a calendar. I dunno. It was pretty. After that we went to see the falls, which were awesome, and then we headed back home to Lethbridge.

When we got back, Bryan and I chilled out for a while, watched some Big Bang Theory. After a few shows, we headed out to his cousins' house. But first we made a little stop, and Bryan treated me to my first Poutine. I was skeptical at first, but man oh man, I'm a believer! It was delicious. Plain and simple. At his cousins' house, we watched Prince of Persia, meh. Whatever, then we headed home.

I leave for MY home tomorrow... And I've gotta say, I have mixed feelings about it. At first I was ready to leave immediately, but things got better, very quickly. And now, I don't really want to leave. I'm really quite sad. Most of all, who knows when I'll ever see my friend again, that is what saddens me the most I think... Canada, you will be missed.

No, but they were good poeple. However I am all the more surprised that my friend turned out the way he did, after meeting his parents.

Once we got back to Lethbridge, I suggested we stop by 7-11 so I could buy him a Slurpee, he said okay. When we got there, he didn't want one, and then he sneakily bought my Slurpee before I could even get my wallet out... And to add insult to injury he gave me 3 Canadian bucks, "Something to remember Canada by." He said. That jerk.

After that, we went to his cousins and watched some TV.

Today was better, but at the same time there was a part that was horribly annoying, but I'll get to that later.

I had my first Canadian Slurpee today. Which is a big reason as to why I am here. There's a huge inside explanation for that, but I am not going into detail on that. Ask me if you want. If I like you, I might tell you. Anywho, It was definitely different, and very good. Not to mention free. I won a free Slurpee from my friend the night before in a game of poker, so, yeah, he payed for it. Gotta love him.

He also made me a steak dinner, which was awesome (I didn't win that, he just did it out of the kindness of his heart). So that was pretty cool.

Later on in the day we watched Planet 51 and The Losers, both surprisingly better than what I was expecting.

So, yeah, today would have been great, except for one thing. There's a girl here who is "friends with everyone in the house" and she pretty much invited herself over (again, she was here yesterday too) and hung around me and my friend ALL DAY... Worst part of this is she is the type with a voice that sounds like nails on a chalkboard and she NEVER stops talking. If you know me, then you know this is the type of person that I would sooner kill than listen to another minute. Sadly however, my hands are tied, I am a guest in this house and nowhere else to go. So, I've gotta put up with it. I will say this though, I didn't drive for 12+ hours to hear some foul mouthed moron talk my ear off. I came up here to spend time with one of my very best friends. A person who means a great deal to me. A person I have not seen in 3 years and most likely will never be able to visit ever again. If this continues then I will not be a very happy American...

It's interesting up here. Staying with my good friend Bryan Walkey... Unfortunately he has some very noisy roomates... I'm exhausted and they are playing rockband loud enough to shake the foundation...

Other than being able to spend time with my friend, this has not been a great day. Probably because after three years, my friend STILL hasn't done any illustrations... Oh well, whatever, I guess it's just never going to happen.

Boy was I WRONG! First of all, the meal was awful, burnt, and took 45 minutes to get. My waitress, Shanae, was the most insane person I had ever met. She was constantly trying to chat with me, in which she gathered some very wrong information. And I didn't feel like correcting her, so she is now under the assumption that I am "going to canada to visit my brother and we are going to party for a week." Which, I guess isn't so far from the truth, I consider the person I am going to visit like a brother, and I guess we will be partying, except her version of party is to get totally wasted every night. When she finally gave me my check, on the back was written: "Have one for me!! -Shanae" I swear this place is insane... I can't wait to get out of here and get to Canada!

On The Road

So, I'm in Butte Montana right now... Yeah, I'm sure you're as thrilled as I am. Anywho, I've pretty much been driving nonstop all day, except for one stop in Idaho Falls. And oh man, what a stop that was. I was originally just going to gas up the truck, but something caught my eye... Frontier Pies Restraunt. I had thought that chain went under years ago, I certainly haven't seen one since I was like 6, so naturally, I had to stop and eat.

Best choice ever. The food was good, but that's not why it was such a great experience. When I got there, I was about to be seated when some old guy came in (he looked exactly like the old guy in the wedding singer). Everyone working there called him "Grandpa" and gave him his "usual table". The part that topped it off was when he whistled at one of the waitresses. Ha ha! The rest of the place was filled with such perfect ambiance too. Twangy country music was playing from the speakers. I was served a soda, not in a glass, but a huge mason jar. There was some gruff looking trucker, and the food was all deep fat fried. I swear, the scene was like something out of a movie, it was so perfect! Ha ha!

It made me laugh.

The Antics At The Logan Art House Cinema: A Review: The Sequel

Has it really been only a week? It honestly seems like months. Time has been moving very oddly lately... Am I back in the MTC? Ah, but enough of my 3 in the morning rambling, on to the review. I was lucky enough to attend the second show in the Save The Antic's Trilogy, and I must say the show did not disappoint.

Tonight's (yesterday's) performers were Brian, Liz, Lorin, Matt, and Sheldon. With Greg as the Master of Ceremonies. The show started off a little awkwardly with plungers and orange sherbet, but the laughs were non stop even then. Whether it was due to the fact that Lorin revealed he was dating Ryan Seacrest, or if it was simply because Sheldon was once again acting completely psychotic during Bad Advice (More so than usual, in fact). There were times when tears were streaming down my face because I was laughing so hard. It truly was a great show, and all the performers did an amazing job, as they always do.

The one small disappointment of the night was not the show itself, but the audience. I'm not sure of the exact numbers, but it seemed like there were not as many people in attendance this week, compared to last week. But what do I know? I do know that The Antics put on an amazing show that will leave you in stitches.

I regret that I will be unable to attend their final show of the trilogy, on August 20, due to the fact that I will most likely be in Canada. To any who read this though, I highly suggest going. It's only 5 bucks, and it is well worth the money, I assure you.

Beyond My Wildest Dreams...

So lately I have been speaking with some people whom I had given copies of Knightfall and The Knightfallen to, and man oh man! I can't believe the praise I have recieved. It was just an absolute honor. The person whom I had given Knightfall to could not stop asking questions about this world that I have created, he just couldn't get enough, and although I had just given him The Knightfallen, he is already demanding a third book!

This in combination with a TON of feedback that I have recieved, has inspired me. I want to expand upon these books, flesh them out even more. With as much praise that I have recieved lately, I don't know, I think when it is at a point where I feel that I have expanded it enough, I just might try and get it published... The very thought gives me chills! This was originally something I was going to write just for myself, I never intended to give it to anyone to read, and I had no idea if it was even marginally good, I just wanted to write it. But now, man, if people really do like it that much, then maybe, just maybe I have a shot... Ha ha ha! Ah man, it's just exciting. I really can't wait for my trip in a couple weeks now, to go to Canada and have a good visit with my illustrator... AH! I can't wait.

The Antics At The Logan Art House Cinema: A Review

I am assuming anyone who actually reads this pointless blog is well aware of The Antics improv troupe up in Logan (whose members include the Probsts, both Greg and Danie, and Matt Allred, among others). I am assuming that you readers are also aware of their "dire" situation, in which they could lose their performing area... I guess that's what you call it, it's late and I am sleep deprived... Anywho, being the "good friend" that I am, I drove up to Logan today, well, yesterday I guess, and saw their first show of the trilogy, here are my thoughts on the show.

The performers of the night were Danie, Greg, Liz, Lorin, and Sheldon. All performers were amazing. They were at the pinnacle of their performance tonight, and they kept the laughs coming, all 90 minutes of the show (which did not seem to be that long at all).

The games performed were varied and all were hilarious. There were some well known improv favourites, such as film noir and bad advice, and there were also new "Antics Originals" such as Will Smith Rap (My personal favourite of the night [rapping about Mulan was hilarious]).

As said before, this is the first of three shows in an attempt to save The Antics improv troupe. I highly suggest going to at least one of the next two shows, not only will you be doing a great thing for some great friends, but you will also be rolling on the floor laughing until your "guts explode" as Danie would put it.

So, yeah, go see The Antics, you won't regret it, I know I didn't.

Book Writing

Okay so after saying I was going to start writing my Star Wars book, I've finally started. I've done more research than anyone ever should, and I've got enough ideas that I think I can make this work. I've got the first part of the story done (which is always the hardest) and although, it's only just started, literally only a couple of short chapters, I really like the direction it's taking. It's going to be much more dark than any of my other projects, but that's okay, because it's looking to be a pretty sweet book when it's all said and done. I'm excited. The next year or so will be very entertaining.

I have no words for what I saw today at Nintendo's press conference. I really think I have died and gone to Nintendo Heaven. I cannot believe what I have seen. A new Kirby game, a new Paper Mario, a new Mario Kart, Mario Sports, Goldeneye Wii, Zelda Skyward Sword, Golden Sun Dark Dawn, Epic Mickey, Kingdom Hearts, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Star Fox 64 3D, and perhaps the biggest announcement EVER! The revelation of Project Sora, which in reality is.......... KID ICARUS UPRISING! AHHHHHHHHHHH! After 20+ years, they finally have made a sequel! No words can express my joy. I am so freakin excited!

Update

I didn't know it was possible to be this physically sore from just being happy, but, I guess it is. I have spent the better part of the day reading every article, watching every video, that has to do with E3 Nintendo, and oh my goodness. I think tears of joy started rolling down my face. I have pretty much been smiling non-stop all day! Which is good, Heaven knows I needed something to pick me up after such terrible past events. But anyways, back to E3. Holy crap Nintendo. Thank you! Thank you so freakin' much. To quote an IGN editor "This new world where all my dreams come true scares me!" But I love it! Ah ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! I saw some things that I never thought I would ever see in my life. So yes, you could say that it is a good day to be a loyal, , lifetime, Nintendo fan boy! I am pleased. :)

After living in the basement for almost a year now, the bathroom is FINALLY almost finished. I am pleased with this. It's so nice to have my own bathroom, for the first time in my life. No more pastel colors, no more pictures of the rainbow fish, no more of my sister's hair dryer and all of her other crap sprawled all over the sink. It's so nice to be free from all of that.

So, I went down to Provo tonight, to go to a bonfire, and guess what? They had started a soccer game! A REAL soccer game! Not just a bunch of people kicking the ball around, but a genuine game! It's been a good five years since I "retired" from playing. And I have missed it dearly. I have tried finding people to play with, but to no avail... Until NOW! Anyways, the friends I was playing with, decided on doing it once a week, and man oh man! I am excited. But I am getting ahead of myself.

Like I said, they had started a game of soccer, and I joined in... Oh my goodness, I cannot even begin to describe the feeling that overwhelmed me! That pure animal instinct that I once had, immediately came rushing back! I was ALIVE! Albiet, I was incredibly out of shape, and I'm pretty sure I pulled a few muscles, but I played well, very well. I played defense superbly, I didn't let ANYTHING pass me. A friend of mine commented on my playing, saying, " Man! You're like a wall!" To which I replied, "They didn't call me 'Stonewall' Jensen for nothing!" Ha ha ha!

Oh man, I felt so great playing soccer again! I can't wait to start up again, get back into shape, get back to my prime. I felt something tonight... I felt the fire in my eyes reignite! Ah! I haven't felt this passion in a long time. I'm so happy.

I'm In Trouble!

So, as you faithful readers know, I have finished two books, Knightfall and The Knightfallen. Those two books chronicle the life and adventures of a creation of my own making, Captain Drake Knightfall. I am very proud of these accomplishments. Ever since I have finished Drake's story, however, I have wanted to start new stories. I have made attempts in the past, but all have ended in failure, hundreds of pages that were going nowhere, multiple rewrites that never got the job done. I have accepted this. I have accepted that those stories need more time to "cook" as they say. Put the idea on the back burner and let it simmer, after all, Knightfall took 3 years of nothing but thinking about what I wanted to write, before I ever set pen to paper, or rather, finger to keyboard.

Now, however, I find myself in a troubling predicament. My mind is reeling. An idea has finally surfaced, it is cooked and ready to be served! This is an idea that I have had, perhaps longer than even Knightfall! I would love to write it, except, I have little research on what I am writing. I need a wealth of knowledge in order to even beginning to attempt to write this, or any book I write (I studied the history of Pirates and piracy for many, many months before I wrote Knightfall). For you see, this idea I have resides in the Star Wars Universe (nerd alert!). I know who my protagonist will be (a creation of my own). I know roughly what the story will surround. But that's it. I don't know what species I will involve, I don't know what planets will be the locales, I don't know what the right time frame for this story will be, I don't know what droids, weapons, or vehicles I will include. Basically what I am saying is, in order to write a proper Star Wars novel, I need knowledge that I do not yet have. I will not allow myself to cross uncrossable boundaries, I want to be able to create a story within the Star Wars canon (for instance, I am not going to write a story about Luke Skywalker fighting Darth Maul [not that I would do that anyways, as my story includes only characters of my own creation]). Yeah, I'm a Star Wars nerd, I know it. I don't care what you have to say about it. This will be a rather ambitious project, and once I have the knowledge I require, look out, because this is going to be big. :D

Turning Around

So a little while ago, I was feelin' pretty craptacular, but you know what? Things are turning around. I'm feeling better in general. Not to mention, I finally finished my revisions on The Knightfallen. Which is huge in my opinion! I will be sending it out to my illustrator in Canada, shortly. And now, I am starting work on my third book. I'm excited. :) Look out world, everything's coming up Milhouse!

I went to a triathalon today. A couple buddies of mine from Provo competed in it. I've gotta say, I have a lot of respect for people who can do that kind of thing. I can't even imagine putting my body through that kind of rigorous work. Yet, they did it... Even more bizarre was that they did it with a smile on their faces. Ha ha! They're psychotic, but to them, I say kudos, for reaching such an incredible goal. Also, a big congrats to Dallin for winning the silver.

Job Hunt
